This is APEX Advocacy.
APEX Advocacy is a U.S.-based, registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aims to increase the number of BIPOC in the U.S. that advocate for the rights of farmed animals. APEX spearheads BlPOC-centered animal rights initiatives and social justice campaigns while also providing a variety of services to nurture BIPOC animal advocates. We empower advocates doing grassroots action, policy work and various other forms of intersectional activism.
What we do:
BIPOC Community for Animal Advocates →
We foster and empower a diverse community of 350+ BIPOC vegan advocates by providing activism trainings, mental health resources, safe spaces, and events.
We train veg-curious BIPOC advocates through a multi-day experience packed with on-the-ground training, education, and tools to empower their activism.
Activism Starter Guide for BIPOC →
We created a guide – written by BIPOC and for BIPOC – to help advocates stay informed, empowered, safe, and sustained in their animal activism.
We successfully shut down a slaughterhouse, conducted an intersectional animal rights speaking tour in South Africa across four universities, and created a database showcasing Black-owned vegan businesses.
