APEX Executive Director Chris Eubanks and Director of Activism & Community Impact, Yvette Baker, concluded their whirlwind speaking tour across South Africa in October 2024 as part of the Human Animal Project, during which they detailed APEX’s approach to intersectional animal advocacy and why the liberation of beyond-humans cannot be achieved as a single-issue mission. Chris and Yvette appeared in person in South African cities Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Gqeberha and were joined by acclaimed author, theorist, and researcher, Syl Ko, who appeared virtually.
